I am a famous neotropical primate. You will easily recognize me by my reddish-brown fur with black tones, my semi-prehensile tail, and my particular facial gestures when communicating with other capuchin monkeys. I am diurnal and arboreal. I usually live in large family groups of up to 23 individuals with well-defined hierarchies.

I have an omnivorous diet, based primarily on fruits and supplemented with insects, chicks, small mammals, lizards, and eggs.

I live in the humid forests of Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil, and Peru.
