My coat is long and bushy; its color is reddish with dark brown hues and some whitish areas. My head and snout are big, while my ears are erect and triangular, always alert. The males of my species are usually bigger than the females. I enjoy living lonely and traveling long distances to get my food.

My diet is very varied and includes small and medium vertebrates, especially rodents. I can occasionally hunt insects and feed on fruits and seeds.
