¿Quién soy?
I am a small deer. The fur on my head and top of my neck is brown or red, while under my neck, ears, and the inner part of my tail are white. I am a lonely mammal, except when looking for a mate. Females of my species usually have only one calf per pregnancy. I can live for about 12 years.
¿De qué me alimento?
My diet consists of fruits, seeds, and young leaves from trees and bushes. When there is a lack of food, I can also feed on mushrooms.
¿Dónde vivo?
My species is native to the neotropical regions, from Mexico to northern Argentina. In Peru, you can find me in the tropical and subtropical jungles, especially in ecosystems with dense vegetation.
