I am a medium-sized Amazonian toucanet. My beak has a very characteristic yellow baseline. My plumage is black on my neck, and the sides of my head and throat are brown. My chest and belly are yellow with a red band. You can observe me looking for food in trees and bushes, where I explore cavities looking for insects or eggs.

¿De qué me alimento?

My diet is fruit-based, and I supplement it with flowers, nectar, insects, eggs, and chicks.

¿Dónde vivo?

I live in rainforests, gallery forests, secondary forests, and forested river channels. We live in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay, and Argentina.
