I am a small mammal with a conical face, rounded forehead, and small ears. Generally, my coat is golden brown with silver undertones. My front claws are adapted to dig. The end of my tail is black, a distinctive characteristic of my species. I live in large family groups of up to 30 individuals.

My diet is based mainly on insects, but occasionally I can feed on small vertebrates, eggs, and plants.
¿Dónde vivo?
I live in savannas and open plains. You can find me in the wild in Angola, Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa.
