¿Quién soy?
They call me giant otter. My coat is generally brown and velvety when dry. I have creamy white spots on parts of my chin, throat, and chest that form a unique pattern for each otter (so scientists can identify us). I usually live in family groups, and we communicate through various loud vocalizations.
¿De qué me alimento?
My favorite food is fish. I usually hunt during the day along rivers and streams. When there aren't enough fish, I can feed on crustaceans, small snakes, and even small alligators!
¿Dónde vivo?
I am an endemic species from South America, which means you can only find me from Venezuela to Paraguay. In Peru, I live from Aguas Negras in Loreto to the Bahuaja Sonene National Park, in the south part of the country.

What is happening to my species?
My species has been seriously reduced due to the fragmentation of my habitat, which is caused by illegal mining, deforestation, and pollution.
