¿Quién soy?
I am a South American parrot, with mainly green plumage, with red feathers on the head, shoulders, and neck. The feathers under my wings are yellow, which are visible when flying. I have a white ring around my eyes, and my beak is ivory. I am a gregarious species. I live in large flocks, often with other parrots or macaws.
¿De qué me alimento?
My diet consists of nuts, seeds, fruits, berries, flowers, and insects.
¿Dónde vivo?
I live in a wide variety of forests, swamps, mangroves, savannas, and palm forests. You can find me from Venezuela to Argentina.
Para que me conozcas mejor
A very social behavior. We like to live in large flocks (up to 100 individuals), flying large areas to feed and rest. During the nights, we form large groups to sleep in the trees, reed beds, and caves.
