¿Quién soy?
I am an Andean bird, with white plumage with long, filamentous feathers on the neck. I have brown spots on my wings, and my beak is red with a black tip. I can live in flocks of up to 30 individuals, but I prefer to fly in lifetime couples.
¿De qué me alimento?
My diet is based mainly on grasses, reeds, and tender aquatic plants.
¿Dónde vivo?
I live almost exclusively in the mountain highlands between 3,500 and 5,000 meters above sea level. You can find me in wetlands and mountain lagoons in Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and Argentina.

Nesting season.
The mating season is usually in November. We form couples or small groups to build nests on the ground; there, we lay between 5 to 10 eggs, which are incubated for approximately 30 days.
