¿Quién soy?
You can recognize me by my slender neck and long limbs, common characteristics of camelids. The color of my coat varies from light cream to dark reddish-brown, with white spots on the chest and belly. Like other South American camelids, I have physiological adaptations that allow me to adapt to the difficult characteristics of my habitat.
¿De qué me alimento?
I eat a wide variety of bushes, grasses, and herbs. Occasionally I can eat mushrooms, cacti, lichens, and flowers.
¿Dónde vivo?
I like to live in desert bushes, montane grasslands, savannas, and temperate forests. You can find me in Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, and Paraguay.

In critical danger?
Little information is available about the population status of my species. Studies show that we could go extinct in less than 30 years if current poaching rates continue.
