¿Quién soy?
We are small birds with bright green plumage. The feathers of our head, face, and chest present a great variety of colors. We groom each other frequently, especially between females and males. Our relationship bonds continue throughout our lives. We live in small flocks of 4 or 6 individuals.

We feed mainly on seeds, some bark, different plants, and fruits.

We live in the wild in the lowland forests, grasslands, or savannas of Tanzania.

Lovebirds. Our scientific name derives from the Greek terms agape ('love', 'affection') and ornis ('bird'). Both, common and scientific names refer to our strong couple bonds; we spend a lot of time together and often groom each other's feathers or snuggle together.
