¿Quién soy?
My head and neck are bright blue, adorned by white spots above and below my eyes. On my head, I have a very fine feather pompadour. My body is grayish with brown stripes just like my wings. The males of my species have a beautiful tail, which is made up of very elongated and striking straight feathers, which simulate the tail since the true one is found underneath as support.
¿De qué me alimento?
My diet is very varied. I can feed on insects, worms, lizards, amphibians, snakes, flowers, petals, cereals, and young sprouts.
¿Dónde vivo?
I am a native bird from India, where I live in open forests always close to water bodies. You can find me wild in Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
Para que me conozcas mejor
A white peacock? There are three variations of my species. The white peacock variation has completely white feathers from the top of the head to the end of the tail. They are not considered albinos, because their color is a genetic mutation of their plumage, which was used to obtain more white peacocks.
